(a pep talk for myself)
Sit down.
Just put your hands on the wheel.
You know where you want to go—just
put your foot on the gas
and steer.
It’s no longer enough to watch out the window
and sing the songs
hum the tune.
There is beauty in watching;
in being carefree—
along for the ride.
But there is also
beauty
in taking control;
being in the driver’s seat.
Soon,
the feeling will become natural
and you will start to
compose your destination;
To command the wheel
while enjoying the ride.

A melodious pep talk that steps on the gas like my own pep talk. Cheers
I guess I must have been a terrible driver in my youth. It scares me to take the wheel and drive.
I constantly questions my ability to make the turns and follow the signs.
There are times that the risk is too high. There's always a little voice that keeps gasping "wait, you can't do that..."

Hi from Sunday Scribblings! I really loved this letter to yourself. And yes, it will get more comfortable.
"It's no longer enough to watch out the window and sing the songs..." I know this is true for me too...thank you for the reminder.
I wonder if I could write a pep talk letter to myself. I'm afraid I'd just make myself more nervous by pointing out all the dangers along the road.
Oh Britt. Do have to tell you over and over again that YOU have this in YOU. It will get more comfortable, and even more, it will become easy and natural. The road you're driving on and the car your are in were made by man...everything is possible.

Do you realize how special you are?
I mean really really special honey. YOU make a difference in this 'grey sky' day, like a ray of sunshine...I wish I could hug you really hard right now...I need it too.
love U,
darlene xoxo
