This month's lyric is:

nobody said it was easy
it’s such a shame for us to part
nobody said it was easy;
no one ever said it would be this hard
oh, take me back to the start.

This may be the last month for Name That Song. I'm getting bored. Any ideas for a new interactive game with prizes?

This month's lyric is:

I guess this time you're really leaving
I heard your suitcase say goodbye
And as my broken heart lies bleeding
You say true love is suicide

You say you've cried a thousand rivers
And now you're swimming for the shore
You left me drowning in my tears
And you won't save me anymore

This month's lyric is:

Find the cost of freedom
Buried in the ground
Mother earth will swallow you
Lay your body down

Update:

I guess I should stick to more common songs that more people will know! Here's another song by the same artist(s):

And you, of tender years,
Can't know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth,
They seek the truth before they can die.

Teach your parents well,
Their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

Good luck, I hope this helps!

This month's lyric is:

She was his girl; he was her boyfriend
She be his wife; take him as her husband
A surprise on the way, any day, any day
One healthy little giggling dribbling baby boy
The wise men came; three made their way
To shower him with love
While he lay in the hay
Shower him with love love love
Love love love
Love love is all around

Merry Christmas, my peeps!

Name That Song

Today’s prompt for Sunday Scribblings is “music.” Well, as it happens, every month on the 25th day, it is time for Name That Song. This is the sixth month, and it has been fun! I love music, and have written a couple posts about how music touches me. It has the capacity to fill my soul, where words alone sometimes lack. No matter the genre or decade, if it touches me, it’s a keeper. Music has mourned with my losses, cheered with my excitement, loved with my loves. Without further adew, let’s play!

The Rules:

1. Please DO NOT guess in the comment section. E-mail me (see my profile page for my e-mail address).
2. I really send a prize, so be honest and fair.
3. Previous winners may still play.
4. Be the FIRST to e-mail me with the correct song title & artist and win.
Good Luck!

This month's lyric is:

And even though we ain't got money, I'm so in love with ya honey,
And everything will bring a chain of love.
And in the morning when I rise, you bring a tear of joy to my eyes,
And tell me everything is gonna be alright.

Open the door
And show me your face tonight
I know it's true
No one heals me like you
And you hold the key

Never again
would I turn away from you
I'm so heavy tonight
But your love is alright
And I do believe

That not everything is gonna be the way
You think it ought to be
It seems like every time I try to make it right
It all comes down on me
Please say honestly
You won't give up on me

Name that Song

well darkness has a hunger that's insatiable
and lightness has a call that's hard to hear
i wrap my fear around me like a blanket
i sailed my ship of safety till i sank it
i'm crawling on your shores

The first person to email me the correct answer wins a prize. Yes, I do actually send you a little somethin' somethin'. So those of you lurking and not letting yourselves be known, don't be shy. ('cause it aint the Greatful Dead, so I don't know if Candice will know it!)

Good luck. May the best blogger win.

Name That Song

Here's the Dealio:

Every month on the 25th, I'm going to post song lyrics. The first person to email me the correct title and artist wins. I will send you a little prize for being the champion. (you can find my email on my profile if you don't have it already)I will post the winners in the sidebar.

I am starting with an old classic (at least it's a Britt Classic) because this song describes what I am doing: copying this idea straight out.

Have Fun!

It's the latest wave
That you've been craving for
The old ideal
Was getting such a bore
Now you're back in line
Going not quite quite as far
But in half the time
Everyone's happy
They're finally all the same
