A peek at a painting that I'm being commissioned to do for a Christmas card.
I love the smell of the paint. I love the farmiliar feel of the brush in my fingers and the sound it makes clinking against the glass when I'm rinsing out the color.

just beautiful. i can see why you talents were requested! i love christmas cards that are not too obviously christmasy. this one's perfect.
A Christmas Catcus. Very clever! I love it when you paint. There is a lightness about you whenever you speak of it or do it.
I love your paintings. You really are a good artist, you know. Maybe some day I'll be rich and famous and I'll comission a painting (of myself of course - ha ha).
Love you!

I get it--it's my passion as well, and I go to such a different place when I'm painting, some sort of wonderful seclusion--all alone in such a vast expanse. No other activity satisfies me in quite the same way. Can it be put into words? Relaxing? Calming? It's a place I like to be. I would love to see your portfolio.
I wish, I wish, I wish I could do that.
Lovely! I hope I get one in the mail.
