Self Portrait Challenge {Celebration}

IMG_5500

because my bathroom is finally all one color
because I’m in love with my husband
because the days are lengthening
because I have food to cook for dinner
because my boy is getting better
because I have been given a new perspective on life
because I am smitten with my children
because I can choose
because there’s still time to do all that I mean to do
because I can go make chocolate milk any time I want it
because there is an unspoken promise of a bloom and a sunrise
because I can find beauty all around me

Oh man. I'm still on this no-sugar crap. So the line about making chocolate milk anytime you want hurt just a little. I WANT CHOCOLATE!! Cravings not gone yet and I'm a week and a half in. So I guess I'm on the whole 12 week program after all.

So please, celebrate the chocolate milk for me.

While waiting for the bus, Solomon said, "Is summer coming because I can see the dirt." I told him it was going to be awhile but summer always comes...

Do you know that you inspire people to love life even more? Beautifully put, all of it.

if i could be anyone for a day, i'd pick you. you are so positive and calm. i'd like a break from type A for just a day.
a coffee is what they call the monthly meeting of military spouses. you discuss business, plan events, and have some fun while eating and getting to know each other.
i wasn't actually bathing in a latte. although... it sounds kind of soothing.

Well said Buttry Leeve. I am also glad for that change in perspective bc I have had the same one. I love talking with you about it. Since I started my part time job, I have missed my choc milk for lunch. I really did not know how dependant I had become on it.

So, what's this new perspective on life?

I need a new one!

you guys are too sweet. you make me feel good:) thanks.

And andrea, it made me laugh when I read your comment because I had just finished yelling at my kids for whining and fighting and carried the two little ones up the stairs kicking and screaming and told them not to come out for a long long time. So much for positive and calm...
