"it's a boy" altered journal

Today I caught my three-year-old sticking her chewed up gum behind her ear for safe keeping until her snack of crackers was finished. This is a sure sign that she has seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory too many times. (I’m sure only the mommy readers are starting to sing to themselves, “Augustus Gloop! Augustus Gloop! The great big greedy nincompoop!...”

"honest" page from a recent project

The other day when I told my husband that I wanted to go sky diving next time I visit California, he told me that I had to wait several more years to do something so risky…until the kids were older—he doesn’t want to raise them himself. That makes me laugh for several reasons. I must admit, I expected him to say as much, though...and I love the boy.

I’ve been in my own little world lately. Harry Potter Reality is what I’ve been calling it. I started book six today and am enjoying my alternate reality much more than my own.

For my own reality, I have made a new playlist on my ipod entitled “vacuum your heart out.” I learned from Brooke while she was visiting that if you’re listening to really good music blasting in your ears, you just keep on cleaning and singing. It’s one of the best cleaning tips I’ve ever encountered.

You creative soul, you. Deliciously beautiful projects. btw...skydiving is one of the safest crazy things you can do. Seriously. And the only way I will ever tackle my bathrooms is with music blaring in the background. Keeps me from gagging on the hair and other nasties of such cleaning adventures.

Just finished Blackbringer and loved it.

Can't stop laughing about the comment Jake made. Such is life with these crazy little people who drive us crazy in more ways than one!

Ok... You will have to tell me what you think of the Potter books... I believe that I already stated emphatically that I am OBSESSED and in love with them :)

Enjoy number 6... it is one of the best ones there was!

Cute stuff. You are so creative it's unreal. And of course, I'm dying to know what the secret project is! he he. I'm glad you made a cleaning playlist, I swear by it. If you've got good enough music on there, you can not only get your cleaning done, but get a mild cardio work out also. Moms must multitask!

I want to know what the secret project is too! How fascinating! How funny that Jake was only concerned that you die later rather than sooner! ha ha But Clairissa is right, you have more of a chance of dying in a car wreck than sky diving. And by the way, Prince Philip is one of my favorites, as well as Eric from The Little Mermaid...sigh.

I used to stick my gum on my headboard so I could continue chewing it the next morning. :)

Glad to see you can get up to at least get on your computer. Feeling any better? Are you still on "bedrest?"

Love your stuff...always stinkin' cute!

SO... umm... I finished Eclipse about 20 minutes ago.

I am in the grips of a horrible depression now...

So what is the play list? Please Share! I have a whole play list called "Cleaning House" which has a lot of the songs from my "sing along" play list. Todd doesn't have any play lists...how does he cope? (He just listens to all 10,000 songs shuffled together...I need more focus.)

Todd and I should go bowling. I have only one playlist and I have it on shuffle. I want to be surprised with which song comes next.

Beautiful talent, as always!

I love your pictures, as always. I am in the dark ages as far as playlists go. I listen to NPR or this weird old thing called a CD. And my bathroom cleaning aerobics focuses so much on my right arm--I mean, who scrubs effectively with their left? It's a totally unbalanced workout for me!

lovely projects! I totally do that too when I'm cleaning. It sure makes it much more fun!
