do you think this has to do with the groundhog?

snow day

It looks as though Mother Nature doesn’t think I have the mom-of-five thing down yet. She gave me one more day to figure it out. (Last week was winter break—yes, we get that back east. It’s when all the sick people hermit themselves in their houses so the germies can stop spreading around and all the well people go to Florida. It’s also when moms of preemie twins get tested on their mom abilities while the older three are out of school.)

So, how will we make the most of a snow day when we’re very sick of snow? We'll make a fire and watch movies all day. And we’ll make more of these:

and thank you, Abby, for the inspiration. I am now obsessed with getting them just right. When I have them perfected, I'll share. promise.

(Don’t worry, I’ll eat a salad for lunch.) (and I'll organize a little. or maybe I'll fold laundry while watching the movies.)

yeah....I'm totally over the snow and winter thing already and I don't even have any little ones at home...well, I have a big 17 year old that can be a bigger pain in the ass then a room full of...well, lots of things but I won't go there....anyhow, enjoy your day off {yeah right, like that just doesn't work for moms, huh ?}

It all sounds way too productive...for our snow day yesterday Abby and I spent 3 hours trying to keep kids out of the room so we could watch a worthless 30 minutes of E! True Hollywood Story about Anna Nicole Smith. AND we stayed in our PJs all day and ate hummus til our bellies wanted to split open. We DID eventually pay attention to the children...who were also in their PJs all day.

So THAT's why we had winter break! Did you learn that for real somewhere or did you make that up? Bc it's probably the real reason!! Those things look soo o o o o good and gooey!!
